The Olympic Committees of at least 5 European countries besides the U.S. have received terrorist threats before the games in Sochi.

Despite assurances by the Russian authorities , letters containing terrorist threats delivered to the Olympic Committees of Italy , Hungary, Germany , Slovenia and Slovakia have caused alarm and caused some nervousness in relation to security.
